JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Company is seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Sr. Manager, Materials Management. This position will enable the Company’s global supply chain and business objectives to be achieved while satisfying some of the world’s largest and most demanding semiconductor customers. As the company accelerates its growth organically and through M&As, the ideal candidate will have the expertise to shape the Purchasing and Planning strategy and be a change agent in driving supply chain optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of Purchasing, including delivering cost, on-time delivery, inventory optimization and quality improvements.
  • Creating and managing relationships and strategic partnerships with current and key suppliers.
  • Planning within SAP systems with managerial and cross-functional skill sets needed to move the Company to a World-Class Planning environment.
  • He/She will also effectively partner with others in a cross-cultural organization as well as leverage analytical skills to solve problems.

  • Lead the Purchasing and Planning function as a strategic differentiator in support of our company’s growth and customer experience.
  • Serve as a leader, inspire & motivate project teams, manage stakeholders, change agents and deliver results.
  • Planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific tasks.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the management team and proactively mitigate risks with team members on a critical path.
  • Optimize the distribution network process to streamline signals to factories on customers/ distribution centre requirements with the right service level.
  • Support/guide inventory optimization for safety stock levels to support the plant operations.
  • Develop and maintain leading and lagging performance metrics, conduct root cause analyses and develop appropriate action plans.
  • Develop and incorporate business processes and responsibilities to drive operational excellence.
  • Develop a highly capable team through coaching, development, and firm performance management.
  • Seek and drive continuous improvement opportunities to drive agility in operation and value-added processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Operations or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Purchasing and Planning, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with an in-depth understanding of Purchasing and Planning strategy and optimization, matched with a technical understanding of systems/processes.
  • Recognized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and seeks the challenge of winning in a rapidly changing marketplace.
  • Pursues alternative solutions, works well in group problem-solving situations, and presents ideas and information in a compelling way. Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking, using intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Strong process orientation and track record of reducing costs, improving profits and streamlining to achieve financial improvements. Experience collaborating with and influencing partners to accomplish short and long-term business goals.
  • Effectively articulate the strategic vision, willing to get into details but also having the capability to synthesize and simplify. Effectively communicate with and influence both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the company.
  • Leverage business and financial acumen to enable fast identification of business challenges, delivery of results and generation of business value.
  • Develop and sustain trust-based relationships with stakeholders and team.
  • Track record of building high-performance teams with effective transition change management in multiple geographies, communicating and working effectively across different cultures.
  • Lead behavioural and cultural change through a supportive, collaborative and highly inclusive environment.
  • Technical aptitude in SAP’s IBP tool and process, plus experience with SAP ECC6 and related support systems preferred.
  • Willingness and availability to travel as needed to support jobs.
  • Success for the role is not defined solely on the outcome of a project but rather a combination of the results and how these results were achieved.
  • Ability to lead/execute the Purchasing and Planning Key Performance Metrics for the site.
  • Developing and standardizing process flow/SOPs.
