JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

A Food Manufacturing company, based in Shah Alam is looking to expand across the SEA region. To help with the expansion, a Business Development Manager is needed to develop, execute and oversee the company’s business strategy that will bring it to new heights.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level industry research to identify potential customers
  • Identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic business partnerships to drive growth and revenue for the company
  • Promote the company’s products to prospective customers
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Negotiate contract terms with customers
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline
  • Meet portfolio revenue, volume and price targets
  • Conduct ongoing market research
  • Work with the pricing/finance department to create rate proposals
  • Drive end-to-end sales process while ensuring contract execution
  • Travelling within the region would be required

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales manager or other relevant roles
  • Proven sales track record
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • High proficiency in English
  • Good commercial and market knowledge
  • Clear communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in the food export market is highly desirable.
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential in the SEA region
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales or relevant fields
  • Minimum 10 years of business development and/or sales experience with a strong network and contacts within the F&B/Food Manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional project management skills, including organisational and problem-solving skills
