JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department and proposes for process improvement (such as setting up finance SOPs and structuring finance team reporting) to achieve a higher degree of efficiency in processes and reliability of information produced;
• Prepares all statutory reporting and financial statements, budgets and reports on a timely basis;
• Liaising with the operational managers to produce monthly management accounts, providing commentary/analysis to the Management on variances;
• Develop, document, implement and maintain related systems, controls, forecasting reviews, processes and procedures that meet the required standards;
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports;
• Monitor the Company's capital expenditure and return on investment;
• Coordinate, monitor and ensure full compliance of banks' financing;
• Handles audit, treasury and banking, cash flow management, taxation, risk management, and various administration matters;
• Ensures a strong accounting, operational control environment and internal controls to safeguard assets, and improve operations and profitability;
• Leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan which is aligned with the company's and brand's strategic direction; and
• Develop a strong financial control environment and provide meaningful financial information for decision-making.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in a related field (experience in F&B is preferable)
• Strong financial skills and ability to organize and manage a team for optimum efficiency
• Strong analytical skills to provide meaningful financial analysis to aid business decision-making
• Knowledge of the ERP system will be an added advantage;
• Able to work under tight schedules and with flexibility to pursue changes in a dynamic working environment
• High proficiency in English
• Clear communication skills
• High integrity, professional and ethical
• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy and/or professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW) and preferably be a member of MIA;
• Strong working knowledge in MS Office - Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
